Two Garage Sale Makeovers

Do you remember when I posted about this wooden box a couple of months ago?  I got is for .75 at a garage sale.  It was dirty and crusty with spider webs and dirt.  I had hubby power wash it and let it dry for a couple of months while.

After a coat of red spray paint, some stenciled words and a couple of stars glued on it took on a whole new personality.  So what do you think I should put in it?  I thought some greenery and pine cones would look nice.  Any suggestions?

I also picked these chairs up at a garage sale and thought I might be able do do something with them.
This is what I came up with.  The one on the right says 'Welcome" in French, at least that is what I found the translation was on google.  If it it different please let me know.
Now I am off to finish up a few more projects for the bazaar.

Love both projects. If I were going to use that "caddy". I could think of a few ways to use it. One ~ It would be adorable on a buffet, kitchen island, or table with knives, forks, spoons & napkins for holiday parties, etc. OR.. TWo ~ I would make some wax paper cones, and fill them with candies, cookies, etc... different kind in each compartment. OR.. Three~ You could use it as a display piece like you said with pine cones, several bees wax short candles tied with a pretty ribbon, etc.
Just a few suggestions. ;O)

Love what you've done so far, and I must say, I don't have any creative advise for you but I can't wait to see what you're going to do!!

Hey I actually purchased that plate from Walmart. The Thanksgiving one that was only $2.00 now all I need is the vinyl lettering. Think you could help a girl out?

Way cute... I never would have thought to do that! If you are having a big family party it would be perfect to use for utensils and napkins...etc. Thanks for all of your inspiration! I'm in much need of some "umph" right now... Huggies!

Cute cute!!! Love your new projects. I was thinking you could put greenery in it, maybe the pinecones or even cute ornaments that have some vinyl sayings on it with some lights in it too. So many possibilities :D

Oh, the red box is cute! I'd add some thick old fashioned candy canes to the greenery and pinecones in the box.

Absolutely love that wooden box! Would it work to hold silverware on a buffet? Just one more reason I wish I could come to your bazaar!

Great makeovers!!! I think the wooden box would be cute holding vintage glass milk bottles in the smaller squares. :)
