Are You "KID"ding Me?

This is a bit of a random post of a few different things happening
 around here.

These two cute kids were born a couple of weeks ago.  Here is the proud goat herder (my daughter Maria) with the twins, Billy and Sunny.

This would be my hubby holding one of the cute kids.  He loves going and visiting the baby goats, his favorite thing is to push on their heads and get them to butting him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next we have another "kid" story but of the human kind.
This is Landon blowing out all four of his candles on his birthday cake.  I can't stand it that the grands are growing up so fast.  I want to freeze time for awhile.
While staying with us for a few days before his birthday he found an old Christmas toy catalog and nearly wore it out looking through it so he could decide what he would like for his birthday.  He zeroed in on this Lego set and was relentless about showing me that he wanted that for his birthday just in case I forgot.
I would say by that fist pump he was very pleased with his gift.
Landon is a big fan of books and loves to have stories read to him.  This one looks like a good one about Buccaneer Bunnies.  Oh to be a kid again...!
One more thing happening is this foyer project.  My son Dustin, the carpenter and all around handy man, got this installed in one afternoon last week.  I am only showing this halfway finished project as I am waiting on hubby to finish some sanding and painting (he is officially the painter around here, as I hate to paint) before I get it all dolled up and ready for final photo's.
(I think my blogcation is over...maybe.  Hopefully my mojo for blogging has returned.)
What's happening in your neck of the woods?
FROM SIZZLE TO FIZZLE
Yep, that would describe my recent adventures with blogging.  I am now one post away from 500 posts and my SIZZLE has turned to FIZZLE.  I know I am not the only one who has lost some enthusiasm for blogging because quite a few of the bloggers I have been following aren't posting quite as much either.
I think it has come time for me to stop putting pressure on myself to post regularly.  I will still continue to follow blogs and comment as often as I can but my personal blog will have posts very few and far between.  Let's call it a blogcation.
'Til next time........................................................
PUREBRED???
When we got our new puppy Paige about 5 weeks ago she was said to have a purebred Lab as the father AND the mother was said to also be a purebred Lab.
DO YOU FIND ANYTHING INTERESTING ABOUT THESE PHOTO'S OF HER?
(Note: All three photo's are blurry because a lab puppy lacks the ability to stay still for photo shoots.  These were the best shots out of about a dozen I took.)
As noted above, the question of whether or not Paige is a purebred...well you be the judge.  Below are some images of Lab puppies that are close to the same age as Paige.  Did you notice the ears on the puppies below compared to Paige's above.
It's a good thing we didn't get our puppy with the idea in mind of having her bred.  We have certainly  bonded with her and there is NO WAY we would give her back.  We like her just as she is, which might be that she has 'non-labrador' genes in her.  Do ya think???
Hippity, Hoppity Pinterest Inspired Project
 Once again I have been inspired by a Pinterest project.
I bought this egg shaped plate at Target (in their $1-$2.50 bins) a couple of weeks ago not knowing exactly what I would do with it.  Enter Pinterest and BAM! the inspiration came. The last picture (below) is where I got the inspiration from.
 I used my Silhouette to cut out the bunnies, grass and the vinyl lettering.  The blue, pink and yellow horizontal decorations are from the Martha Stewart crafts section at Michael's.  They were half-price, WhooHooo!  Love 1/2 price anything.
Here is a close-up of the bunnies.  I glued some large rhinestones for their tails.
This was the inspiration I found at  The Diary of Dave's Wife blog.
MAYBE I HAVE BEEN OUT OF THE LOOP BUT HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THE WHOLE WASHI TAPE CRAZE GOING ON?
GO TO PINTEREST AND TYPE IN "WASHI TAPE" IN THE SEARCH BOX AND SEE SOME OF THE FABULOUS THINGS PEOPLE ARE DOING WITH IT.
Just what I need, another craft technique to explore.  TeeHee!
GARDEN PINS
Cruising around Pinterest I have been seeing more and more gardening ideas popping up and it has gotten my Spring Fever all riled up.  Afterall it is the first of March, I think it would be appropriate to start at least thinking about doing some gardening.
I love the fencing they put around these raised beds.  Unfortunately there is not a good link to how they were made.  I might have to add that task to my hubby's list of
to-do's for this summer.  (I can just see the HUGE eye roll now.)
I absolutely adore this clematis all wound around this bird house.  It's making me giddy.  Here is the link to Funky Junk Interiors where she does a post about unique bird houses.
Next is this urn with lots of foliage spilling over the sides.  I love combinations like this that shows off the beautiful foliage.  You will find this post at The Decorated House.
Love this outdoor sink.  How handy would that be?  Hmmm, I wonder if I could keep it looking that cute?
You can find it at Country Living.com
And how about these old nesting boxes planted up with petunias?   Go to this site for lots of cute garden architecture and planter ideas.
In my mind I picture my yard looking like this is in the middle of July.  Unfortunately I have yet to achieve such exquisite beauty but that doesn't stop me from desiring it.
The simplicity of this shelf for these pots it SCREAMING at me to do something similar out my laundry room window.  It might make doing laundry a little more palatable don't you think?
Begonia's would do so well on that side of my house.
Chiot's Run blog is a really fun organic gardening site, you should check out her wonderful ideas.
Now if this post doesn't get your green thumb itching I don't know what will.
