Yearning for Summer

After looking at some of my recent pins on Pinterest I noticed a theme going on...Summertime!

I LOVE!!! this bee on this jug. I can just see it filled with lemonade. The only problem would be finding someone strong enough to lift it to pour the lemonade out!

I have put hints out on facebook about maybe getting something like this in my back yard for Mother's day.  They all just laughed at me.  How rude!
(Unknown Source, maybe BHG?)

How fun are these wash tubs used as planters?  I gotta try that.

I love this shade garden and the stone path leading to a quiet place to sit and ponder.

Doesn't this pie look divine?  (source)
1 (9-inch) pie shell
1 cup water
1 cup white granulated sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup strawberry gelatin powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
1 pint of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Prebake pie crust according to directions on package.
Wash and hull strawberries. Then cut them in half (or maybe smaller depending on how big your berries are).
In a sauce pan, over medium to medium-high heat, add water, sugar, cornstarch, strawberry gelatin and lemon juice.
Whisk well until thoroughly combined.
Stir constantly to prevent clumping or scorching until mixture begins to thicken.
Once it is thickened, take the pan off the heat.
I like to put my sauce pan into my sink where I've made some ice water.
This will cool the mixture quickly and allow it to set up a bit more.
I happen to adore this little tune, it reminds me of summertime with all that talk about sunshine.

By the way, I have been asked to teach a Pinterest class at the community college this summer.  Yippee, I get to share my addiction.

WHEN WHEN WHEN!!! I need to take that class. I have NO IDEA how to use pinterest or how to pin and I have people following me. How pathetic is that!

Absolutely LOVE the wash tub planters and shade garden. Now if someone would just do all the work involved for me....

You need to recreate the bee decal onto a beverage dispenser with a spout thingy on the bottom. It would be so cute and then you wouldn't have to lift the jar to pour. I deleted my Pinterest account due to some issues I had with their copyright policies. They've changed it recently and I need to go back. Someday I will when I have time... ha.

Take care, I really appreciate your friendly comments on my blog. Just wanted to say Thanks.!!!
