WE HAVE A NEW BABY

I would like to introduce you to the cutest brown-eyed blond baby that has joined our family.
She has caused quite a stir around here.  Everyone has stopped by to hold and cuddle her.
.
(Did I get ya?  I'll bet you were expecting me to announce another grand baby.)

Her name is Paige and she is a 6 week old Labrador retriever.

Do you remember a few posts back where I talked about my rag quilt?  Well it still isn't finished.

It seems little miss Paige decided it must be for her.
She is quite the little sweetheart.

She loves to sleep on laps...

 ...and on forbidden quilts.

Grandchildren laying on her doesn't even phase her.

She sleeps, pees, poops, eats and sleeps some more.  I have forgotten how much work a puppy can be.  It's like having a newborn, awake every 2 hours at night.  I sure hope she gets the whole "go to the door when she has to go to the bathroom" down quickly.  Until then we are stocked up on piddle pads and Nature's Miracle pet odor/deodorizer.

She is SO CUTE!
Even when they get full grown they still think they can just jump right up on your lap. I had a Brittany Spaniel that used to do that. I tried piddle pads.. lol.. she would pee NEXT to them.. HA! I agree with Patricia.. looking forward to the stories.

WHAT A SWEEEEEEET face!
Oh my goodness. How do you resist not holding her every single minute.

I think it is wonderful that you let her sleep on your unfinished quilt. You are a good woman.
And also it appears that you are smitten.

Color me jealous! We would love to have a Lab or Retriever, but until we can move out in the country, it's just a dream. Have fun with your newest addition!
