AM I CHEAP OR THRIFTY?

I LOVE A BARGAIN, FINDING TREASURES ON SALE OR CLEARANCE JUST MAKES MY DAY. I WOULD RATHER GO WITHOUT SOMETHING THAN PAY FULL PRICE.
DOES THAT MEAN I AM CHEAP OR THRIFTY?

I have become a big fan of soup tureens. Over the last six or seven months I have been on the lookout for these, (only white ones will do) and am surprised at how many I have been able to find just by stopping by thrift stores and garage sales. I currently have six and I'm not sure when enough is enough. I have run out of room on this small rustic barn board hutch so I am now looking on craigslist for something a little bigger to display them on.

I'm not real sure if the one with the carrots on the top is a soup tureen or not but thought it looked right at home with this collection..

Do you collect anything? If so, I would like to know what it is and if you would like to post about your collection I would love to see and hear about it.

I think you're very thrifty! Would love to find some of those tureens, but you must beat me to them! I collect Depression glass creamers, butter pats, salts, Santas, Willow Tree angels, etc etc etc.

I agree with Amy......totally smart shopping!! Why pay more than you need to, lol. And I am a huge, huge fan of Willow Tree. Can't get enough of them :).

this is akin to being a bum or a hobo...
I'm not concerned about labels...cheap or thifty--if I like it and can afford it, it's mine.
I bought a brand-new-with-tags-on-it Ralph Lauren collared shirt for my son today at a 2nd hand thrift store...for ONE dollar!!!!!
Can't beat that with a stick!

P.S. I collect figurines/pictures of mothers and children.
So how cheesy is that?? Way!

Very thrifty and what a great collection you have going!!! I used to collect teddy bears, but was overrun with them. I have tons of them still in storage at this point, nowhere to put them. Right now I love monogram cups, dishes, etc.... But nothing I definitely collect.

I will have to be on the watch for you when I make my Goodwill rounds.

Hugs and love,

Sissy

Love your collection! I collect ironstone and transferware, vintage sewing notions, ephemera, just about anything that has a great vintage feel to it! I just started a weekly post on my flea market/thrift store finds. I think I'll be starting a design/craft blog soon because there is a ton of stuff I collect.
Come on over! I'll be following you, love your blog!
