BOYS DECORATING A TREE

Yes, you read the title correctly.  I let two of my grandsons decorate one of the Christmas trees.  They had free reign to do as they pleased, all they had was a fake tree to put together and a box full of ornaments and decorations.  It may not be decorated like I would have but the fun that they had was so worth it.  Good job Matthew and Spencer.

Looks like they did a pretty spectacular job to me. Love the blue on the white tree. Around these parts we'd call that a WildCats tree.. University of Kentucky fans would be proud. :O)

Hi there, Yes those boys will have wonderful Grandma memories. The tree is fabulous!

In answer to your question on my blog. Yes the trees are originally green. Some green bottle brush trees won't accept bleaching. The ones I used are from a package of Lemax trees meant for Christmas villages.
I found the trees at an after Christmas sale either at JoAnn's fabrics or Michaels last year.
I need to get to a store to find a large glass canister. I want to place several of the trees inside along with a creamy vintage style Santa and perhaps some fake snow, or Epson Salt.

Take care and have fun with those boys.

It looks beautiful!
great job, boys!
It was a good idea to give them free reign, this will form part of their treasured childhood memories.

Tell them they can help me decorate any time. I'll pay them in cookies.

Great minds think alike. My grandsons decorated mine too. Alyssa must have been sick because she busied herself cleaning the kitchen. (all by herself) :)

The boys did a great job! I think it is neat that you just let them go. Good stuff.
