CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT?

My daughter and her family and my hubby and I went to see The Lion King on Saturday in Portland. Boy was it impressive, the costumes, the music, and the lighting were unreal. I have never had the opportunity to see a Broadway show, (and probably will never even make it to New York). It is wonderful that they are taking these shows on the road so that people from all over can see them too.

I downloaded these images from the Lion King web sight because cameras were not allowed during the performance.
Picture below is the young man that played Simba.

Here are the two actors that played young Nala and Simba. They were awesome.

Of course there has to be a bad guy, this is Scar, the evil uncle to Simba

Pumba and Timon stole the show. They were HILARIOUS.

Here is my daughter, her sons and husband. We were patiently waiting for it to begin. I was able to sneak a couple of pictures before it started.

Here I am with hubby. We were just as excited as the grandsons. I even wore my animal print top so I could get in the spirit of things.
If The Lion King ever comes to a city near you it would be well worth the money to go.
IT WAS FABULOUS!

Oh.. I bet it was fantastic! I've never seen it. The closest I've been is the Lion King performance in Animal Kingdom. Glad you enjoyed it!!

The show is coming to SLC in September and I was thinking it would be fun to take my daughter.

I am so glad that you loved it and so highly recommend the show. Now we just have to go!

Jealous! I would love to see this and will make a concerted effort if it comes back to Nashville. Thanks for the little push!
