I think blogging could easily become an addiction. Do you suppose they have an intervention program for obsessed bloggers? I can't believe how many times I have gone to a blog and begun clicking on links and pretty soon 1 or more hours have passed and I realize that I can't even remember where I started.
I was just on a blog that a mother of 6 children had been doing and she had decided that she had to quit blogging because her family was being neglected. (Boy, that takes some willpower.) I don't have children at home anymore but I could really see how it might take over your life.
One nice thing about surfing blogs is that you can read about real people and very real and identifiable situations. No Hollywood glamour, tabloid rubbish, political rhetoric etc., just REAL EVERY DAY LIVES of people and somehow that is much more satisfying to me.
I love to read how creative some bloggers can be.
I love the ideas that are shared as well as testimonies of people who know and love the Lord.
I love the cute "isms" that are shared.
I love to see pictures of families who are dedicated to each other.
I love to hear about real trials and triumphs.
I love to search out tried and true recipes that are shared.
I love to know that there are far more "real" people just like me who care and share what they have.
I love to hear about those who struggle with some of the same things that I struggle with and how they handle things.
And I love that I can have a creative outlet of my own. I don't care if anyone ever reads my blog but if they do I hope that maybe there is at least one person who can identify with me.
