No Need to Buy Expensive Toys

Now that we have had our puppy Paige for about a year now I have to laugh at all the silly doggie toys we have bought for her over the year.  We bought stuffed monkeys, rope chew toys, balls, bones and various other cute pet playthings.

The other day she found a rolled up fabric flower that I had made but had cleaned out some craft supplies and tossed it into the trash because it wasn't quite what I had in mind when I made it.
She thought she had found the treasure of the century.  She spent days chewing on it until it unraveled.  I tied a knot in the center so she could grab onto it better and it has become the event of the day if you throw it for her to fetch.

TOY CONTENTMENT!

Just think of all the money I could have saved if I had let her explore more in my craft room.

bahahahahaaa!! Puppies are such strange, awesome creatures. I love how happy she looks with it. My dogs LOVE the cheap squeeky babies I buy at Walmart. Nellie drives us nuts with them.

I can't believe how much she has grown. Sad to say that many of my craft projects qualify as dog chew toys.

I wanted to tell you that seeing your post while I was on a break at the court house absolutely was a bright point in my day.

I loved seeing Paige and yes the toys we didn't purchase ended up being Liberty's favorites. Empty hard plastic jars, empty water bottles, (same as Brinkley) and stolen items.

Her (Paige's) ears relaxed. I remember the photo where her ears were half way perked and looking so cute.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that peaking in at the blogs I love are just what I need during the breaks in the trial. Take care.
