I AM TRULY SPOILED

Thanks to Amy over at Keepn' The Sunny Side I am the new proud owner of a Kindle cover.

Didn't she do a wonderful job?
I have been wanting a cover for awhile now and guess what?
She sewed one for lil' old me.

I love the fabric,

the button for the closure,

and the cute ruffle.
Thank you Amy, you are just too sweet.

SANTA CAME EARLY, YIPEE FOR ME!

Look at what came in the mail for lil' ol' me!

My sweet  bloggy friend Saimi sent this quilted table cover as a thank you gift for some extra vinyl/blocks I made for her a couple of months ago.  Imagine my SURPRISE when I looked in the mail box and saw this package.  Hmmmm, who could it be from?

Isn't it gorgeous?

She even put her personal touch on it so I would always remember where it came from.
It is just perfect for my farm table and the centerpiece looks like I made it just to sit on it.
Thank you so much
Saimi, it couldn't have come at a better time,  I was having a couple of really 'down' days and this just brightened it right up.  THANK YOU!!!!

Anybody out there struggle to come up with cute ideas for crafting for boys? Check out this great tutorial for a super idea for a Hot Wheel's cozy over at Christine's Favorite Things. She gives great instructions on how to make this.

I have seen all kinds of washer necklaces throughout blog land recently and was inspired to make some of my own. The necklace on the left (below) isn't made with a washer but with a jewelry piece that came in a package with a bunch of other beads. I just laced it onto a ribbon and tied the ends.
The one on the right is made with a washer, a scrapbook embellishment, scrapbook paper, Mod Podge and beads.

Wow, I get sidetracked easily. I started out the day working on vinyl lettering projects and ended up making jewelry.

Teachers Gifts

My daughter, Maria, is visiting for the weekend and we decided to make some teachers gifts for her kids' teachers.

This one was inspired by another blogger (unfortunately I can't remember who it was, if someone knows who it is let me know so I can give credit).
We just used 8x10 canvases and glued scrapbook paper down then added vinyl lettering and some embellishments. This one is for a teacher that LOVES the Twilight series so we did a Bella and Edward twist to it.

It is so fun to have somebody come over and play in my new craft room with me. So much fun.

There's a party at Funky Junk's blog, go check out the great ideas.Funky Junk's Saturday Nite Special
