Does anyone else feel like I do?  With the economy the way it is, the price of gas at over $4 per gallon, the tornado's that have ravaged the south and killed so many people and the unrest in the middle east I am having a difficult time getting too excited about the 'Royal Wedding'.  Why all the hype?

FUN EASTER TREAT

Here is a fun idea for an Easter treat.

I actually saw this idea on a blog a week or so ago but I have searched and searched for it and cannot for the life of me remember where it was.  So if you know who it is please let me know so I can give proper credit

I crushed up some bite sized Shredded Wheat and stirred it into some melted Hershey's chocolate bars.  I then took a small ice cream scoop (my scoop was purchased from Pampered Chef) and dropped them on parchment paper. Then I pressed a spoon to create an indentation for the eggs.  Very simple.

We will be doing our family Easter egg hunt and dinner tomorrow.  I can't wait to see all of the grand kids running around collecting the eggs.

TELL IT LIKE IT IS TUESDAY

I guess it is my turn to tell it like it is.

It has been brought to my attention that some people don't think I should offer this feature on my blog.
First of all when I decided to start this once a week feature on my blog my intention was to give anyone who has some pent up frustration a way to just get it off their chest without any backlash or extra drama.

 If this feature bothers you then I would say to you:

 "If you don't like what you see on my blog then you are invited to not come back, it's as simple as that." 

You see, that is the beauty of blogging. You can pick and choose blogs that you enjoy and if you find something offensive then you just move on. If I lose followers because of this weekly feature then so be it, I can't make everyone happy all of the time and I am sure there will be people who disagree with me on this issue.
 SO BE IT!

 I am not forcing or encouraging anyone to be mean spirited and my intention is NOT to let this become a forum for ongoing personal issues between two parties.  I preview all comments and if I find something that is inappropriate then I just don't post it.  Let's just not make this out to be more than what it is people!

Easter Decor

I was reminded by someone (you know who you are) that I haven't posted in almost a week and that I am to provide at least some sort of entertainment for said person.

Also to confirm that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth I thought I would throw up this quick post.

My oldest daughter made (well anyway, she attempted to make one then I butted in and did it for her) a cute Easter canvas. When my youngest daughter saw it she wanted to know where hers was.  So being the guilt ridden nice mother that I am I made one for her too.

I am not sure if you can see it but it is covered in a layer of glitter.  It was just the touch it needed.

My Answers!
1.  Good question.  I have a secret crush on Harry Connick Jr.  He could swoon in my ear all night long. Ahhhh.

2.  The only thing that bothers me are fried or scrambled eggs.  I have been known to throw up right after eating them.  Don't know why because eggs cooked into food don't bother me.

3. From start to finish, about 45 minutes.  That includes shower, get dressed, dry hair, put on makeup and out the door.

4.  Jimmy Dean all the way, yummmmmm!

5.Google, ALL. THE. TIME.

SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT

It seems I have been neglectful in doing my Sunday Shout Out posts.   I got off to a pretty good start and then went and got side tracked. {Nothing unusual for me!}

This week I would like to give a shout out to a very classy lady from Texas named Tina that probably doesn't even know I exist let alone that I stalk her blog.  Her blog caught my attention one Sunday and I proceeded to sit for three or four hours just browsing and reading it.  She has such a wonderful style that reflects in her home.
 Her blog is called Cherry Hill Cottage.

Here is a photo of her home.  You really must go take a look-see and enjoy all of her eye candy.

That is what the orange fabric was all about.

I was inspired by a post that Brenda did over at Deck The Halls of Home With Joy.

She refers to the Idea Room for the tutorial.  The only thing I did differently was when I inserted the greenery in the top of the carrot I just wrapped a thin ribbon around it and drew it up tight and tied it.  No pulling a ribbon or making a hem.

There's going to be some crafting at my house.  My daughter Maria is coming for a couple of days and we NEED to do us some craftin'.

Here is William and Aleana together.  We don't get to see them too often together.  Aleana only gets to come every other weekend.

The Big Tuesday Reveal

I hope you are all ready to see what I have been teasing you with for the last five days.

In December of 2009, Tammy of Time Flies did a post that has been rattling around my brain every since. 
You can read that post here.

With the holiday's coming fast and furious Tammy gave us the opportunity to sound off a little about anything and everything that was bugging us.   She said we could post anonymously if we wanted to, (to protect the innocent). I remember posting a letter to two family members that were causing conflict throughout the family. After leaving this little note in Tammy's comment sections, and knowing these two would never have a chance to read it, I felt such a feeling of release.  It was great, I got to vent some steam but yet it didn't create any more drama to an already awkward situation.

I have decided to give you this opportunity weekly in my new Tuesday Feature to do just that.  It will be called:

TELL IT LIKE IT IS TUESDAY

This is not a linky party but rather a place to leave your little rant.

It could be as simple as a letter to your spouse about leaving dirty socks on the floor to a direct blast at your child's coach or even a tell-you-off to your mother-in-law letter.

So, for all of those things we can't or shouldn't say, here is your chance to sound off and relieve some of that stress.
