CHANGIN' UP A BIT

AFTER SPENDING THE BETTER PART OF A DAY THIS WEEK GOING THROUGH ALL OF MY FAVORITE BLOGS I HAVE IN MY READER AND ON MY BLOG, TITLED 'BLOGS THAT INSPIRE CREATIVITY', I KNEW I NEEDED TO DO SOME ORGANIZING.

Along with organizing I knew I would need to eliminate some blogs that I follow because I need to spend not quite so much time cruising blogs.  I hate to quit following because I know that tends to hurt people's feelings.  Please do not take it personal.  I tried to only eliminate those that haven't blogged for a while, like more than three months, or those that aren't meeting my needs right now.

So now I want to let you know that I will be posting directly on my blog ideas and inspiration of things I want to make that I have come across in blog land. I will call it my WANT TO MAKE post. That way I only have to skim through my blog to locate the ideas rather than in my favorites file or on my desktop or try and remember where I saw a particular idea.   I hope that by posting these ideas it might inspire others to check out the blogs I have linked to.

For my first WANT TO MAKE post I will be linking to Amy's blog, Keep'n The Sunny Side.
She shared a recipe for homemade TWIX bars that look divine.

I WILL be making these today.
Yummeeeee!

  1. Well you better not have these or anything else like this around when Dustin and I come over... We are both on diets!!! And I don't think we could resist... Him more than me of course... you know how he is with sweets!

  2. Connie I kind of feel bad because I said something about 2 people not following me yesterday.
I actually do realize that we all follow blogs that later are just not our cup of tea anymore - so to speak. I think you said it well here.
I also am a "collector" of ideas that I come across and I think your new way of organizing them is not only fabulous but I cannot wait to see what you have collected. These Twix bars really do look divine!

  5. Ok you and Amy need to stop right here and right now! I just saw those evil treats on her blog earlier and just when I stopped drooling you go a head and post them!

How can a girl stay away like that when temptation is all around!! HA!!

    They do look mighty tasty!!

  6. I almost wrote a post just like this recently. If I miss a couple of days in my Reader, I'm likely to have well over 100 posts! There's no way I can keep up. I did just what you did and eliminated the ones that hadn't posted in a while or didn't fit my needs. And I try not to take it personally when someone does the same to me.

I did NOT need to know about those Twix bars! I think I have a recipe for Mounds bars somewhere if you're interested.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  9. First off, I got your letter yesterday. THANK YOU!!
Is it okay if I give you a call perhaps tomorrow? I have to work today.
Second, I love this new idea of yours!
I have to go thru my blog list every once in awhile and do the same thing. So no worries.
Thanks, Connie and we'll talk soon!
